Who are Carers of West Lothian?

Carers of West Lothian is a voluntary organisation that provides information and support on a wide range of issues to unpaid carers.

Are you a carer?

A carer is a person of any age who provides unpaid care and support to a spouse, partner, relative, friend or neighbour, who cannot manage to live independently without the carer's help. This may be due to frailty, illness, disability or addiction. The support a carer provides may include:

moving and handling
help with cooking and shopping
personal hygiene and administering medication
providing emotional support
acting as a representative for the person being cared for

What can Carers of West Lothian offer you?

On initial contact we will send you our free Carers Information Booklet, which is a comprehensive guide to services in West Lothian. A carer support worker will contact you to find out what kind of practical or emotional support you may need. We will add your name to our mailing list and send out our quarterly newsletter as well as any other relevant information.
