First Aid Course for Carers

Many carers' worry that they would panic in the event of an emergency with the person they care for. Carers of West Lothian is arranging for a First Aid Course to take place in October 2005. The course will either be one full day or two afternoon/evening sessions.

Some skills you will learn on the course are;

  • Adult Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), if anyone attending wishes to learn child CPR this can be arranged prior to the course commencing
  • Major Injuries, including, blood loss, shock, muscular/skeletal injury, burns and scalds
  • Fractures
  • Attending to the needs of an unconscious person

The course is free to Carers and will be held in the Strathbrock Partnership Centre, Broxburn. At the end of the course you receive a certificate and a First Aid Manual.
