Holistic Therapy Training Course in Linlithgow

Following the success of our Holistic Therapy course for Carers held recently at the Strathbrock Partnership Centre in Broxburn, we are now running a further 3-week course in Linlithgow, starting on the 18th May 2006.

The course will run for three Thursdays between 09:30 am and 12: 30pm and will be held in the lounge room at the Low Port Centre Linlithgow. The aim is for carers to not only experience the relaxing benefits of simple massage and the use of essential oils but, to also be shown some basic massage techniques that they can use on the person for whom they care.

Any carers who would like more information or to apply for a place on this course should contact, Jim Brown, Carer Support Worker at the Carers of West Lothian Centre Telephone No. 01506 771750

The basic course content includes:

  • Introduction to massage - types of massage, types of movements, benefits, and how to do a back massage.
  • Essential oils, what they are and how to use them.  Feet and hand massage.
  • Neck, shoulder and head massage
  • Blending of massage oils.

The training course is an informal course to provide you with basic massage techniques and does not constitute or lead to a formal qualification.

If you have difficulty in leaving the home to attend a course we may be able to provide the training in your own home.
