TRAINING COURSES

Who Cares? Training Course for Carers of those who have Arthritis

Carers of West Lothian is running a training course for carers of people who have Arthritis. The free course will run over 6 weeks on Tuesdays from 10.00 - 12.30pm on 22nd February, 1st, 8th, 15, 22nd and 29th March at the Strathbrock Partnership Centre in Broxburn. Coffee and registration is from 9.30 - 10.00am and a light lunch is offered from 12.30pm. Lunch is free.

We may be able to assist with sitter or travel costs to allow relevant carers to attend this course.

The course will include:

  • Information about Carers of West Lothian
  • Social and health services for carers of people who have Arthritis
  • Carers' benefits
  • Information on occupational therapy services
  • Advice on dealing with emotional issues that carers may face.

Speakers from voluntary organisations in West Lothian will also be present. A follow up session will take place at a later date on a specialist subject chosen by carers on the course.
